Bring Back the SMS Gateway

The feature that has been a godsend for me was the SMS Gateway. It has been my outlet to my friends with cell phones, and I haven't one (nor do I plan to get one any time soon). I was wondering where it had gone. Please, bring it back!

And the concensus from members seemed to be that it wasn't used often and wasn't reliable, and that the funds used for it could be spent on something else. So my guess is that it isn't coming back.
